IntroductionAny place where we live is more than just a geographical area. How we see it and how we feel about it is part of it too. Imagining Staffordshire is an exploration of the county through the eyes and imaginations of the people who live here or who have lived here in the past, through their words, images and sounds.
We will also be featuring writers and artists of the past who were born, lived or worked in the county, and stories about places from folklore or urban myth. The key to the website is a clickable of the map of the county, linking content of all kinds to the map if there are particular locations connected to the work or people. As the project develops you will be able to explore, via the map, the county as it lives in people’s experience and imagination. There are also pages devoted to local projects, particular themes, and local artists and writers. All the content in Imagining Staffordshire is the property of its originators.
