Stafford is an island, surrounded by the River Sow, Marston Brook and marshes. The only dry way in to the town in medieval times was Stone Road.
On the first Sunday in October 2006 Stafford Library organised a walk around the town, looking at the river and the watery surroundings of Stafford. Everyone was given a disposable camera to photograph what they saw. This is a slide show of our Island Stafford walk.
