About Mike Tallent.
I have lived in Stafford all my life and have always been interested in the history of the Stafford area. I have been doing photography for several years and with the introduction of digital cameras and being able to ‘see’ the results straight away made the cost of photography easier instead of waiting days for wet film to be developed and printed before seeing how many shots were ok.
I became involved with mediaeval historical re-enactment for several years when I was a longbow archer; I was one of a few people invited to take part in the first re-enactment to take place on the Agincourt battlefield since the actual battle. Through re-enactment I met many people who shared the same interest as me who always wanted to do more. I became involved with the organisation of re-enactment events and was part of the team who started the Blore Heath Annual Battle Re-enactment and the Mediaeval Joust Event held at Berkeley Castle, now the biggest medieval event in the country.
I have produced several film/documentary scripts all based on historical events, all waiting to be produced. I have now combined my love of history and photography to record historical sites before it is too late.
